What are my greatest accomplishments?
- I was able to make a physical edition of my 'hit' puzzle game Trail Mix! You've probably never heard of it but it has 25,000 downloads and an IGF Honorable Mention. The mostly language free nature of the game helped it reach a bunch of players around the world, which was a wonderful and surreal experience.
- I was able to showcase one of my narrative games at the Art Gallery of Ontario, personally proving once and for all that games are art. Got to meet some other very cool devs as well!
- I'm really into trying to make games that look nothing like any games that have come before. Click for other examples of my visual experiments, but this one is my baby, still in progress. It got a Mangotronics Micro Grant! Which means I really ought to finish it some time, once I have stable income and consistent free time to work on it.
- I designed and built in engine a massive draculas castle dungeon for my job as Map Team Lead on Genfanad. With all the layers of the plan turned on, its illegible and impressive! Click the picture to see more, amid other level design artifacts.
- I was recently able to make some pretty good science fiction and horror games on commission, and then was able to use them to raise a little bit of money for people in need from Gaza. I feel like I'm getting a better handle on how to world build, and write with strong political and thematic intention.
